Is email marketing still worth it?

Yes. Email remains one of the highest-return marketing channels because you own the audience directly, rather than renting access through a platform's algorithm. A permission-based list lets you reach interested people repeatedly at almost no cost per send, which is why it consistently outperforms most channels on return.

The reason it endures is ownership and intent. Social reach depends on algorithms you don't control, but an email list is yours, and the people on it chose to hear from you. That direct line is valuable and durable.

It works when you provide value and respect the reader: useful content, relevant offers, and easy unsubscribing, not constant selling. Building the list with a genuine incentive and treating it well is what turns email into a dependable channel rather than spam.
