How do you do keyword research?

Start by listing the questions and problems your customers actually have, then expand that list with a keyword tool (Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, Semrush, or the free Google Search Console and autocomplete). For each term, look at search volume, how hard it is to rank, and what intent it signals.

Read the pages already ranking for a term before you commit to it. They show you what Google currently rewards for that query, whether it wants a guide, a product page, a comparison, or a short answer. If you can't beat what's there, pick a more specific angle.

Group related terms into clusters and give each cluster a home page, with supporting pages linking to it. This topical structure signals depth on a subject, which ranks better than scattered one-off pages.
