Good CTAs are specific, visible, and match the visitor's intent. One clear primary action beats several competing ones, which cause hesitation. The wording matters too: concrete and benefit-led ("Get my free quote") outperforms vague ("Submit").
Every important page should make the next step obvious. Even great content underperforms if it doesn't guide the reader toward acting. Testing different CTA wording and placement is a common, high-return part of conversion optimization.
