Can you move your website to a different host later?

Yes, in almost all cases. You can move a site to a new host by transferring the files and database and pointing your domain's DNS at the new server. It takes some care to avoid downtime, but it's a standard task. The main thing that makes it hard is being locked into a proprietary platform.

The move is easiest when you own your domain and have full access to your site's files and data. Keep those in your control and a migration is straightforward. Problems arise when a builder holds your accounts or the platform won't let you export.

Before committing to any host or builder, check how you'd leave: can you export everything and take your domain with you? A provider that makes leaving hard is a warning sign. Retaining that freedom protects you if your needs or their service change.
