Claude Code suits complex tasks and large codebases where you want an agent that plans and executes across many files. Cursor gives the smoothest all-in-one editing experience for daily work. Copilot is the easiest to drop into an existing setup and the cheapest entry point.
Many developers use two: an editor-based tool like Cursor or Copilot for everyday coding, plus Claude Code for the harder, deeper tasks. They aren't mutually exclusive, and the right mix depends on how you work.
