Who builds custom websites for founders and small teams?

Small senior studios, usually. A founder-sized project is too bespoke for a template shop and too small to get real attention inside a large agency.

The trade is real. A large agency gives you process and a bench, but your project is rarely anyone's priority and you tend to meet people at the pitch who never touch the work. A small studio gives you the people who actually build it, at the cost of a smaller bench.

What Scene is deliberately small. You work directly with the person designing and building the thing, with no account layer in between and no handoff to a junior team after the proposal.
